"Pathways to the moon" and "moon" are currently on display at the Pier Art Centre's annual Christmas exhibition, open from November 22 - December 24, 2014. Pop in a look if you have a spare minute in Stromness.

collecting tracks series
I really wasn't happy with the frames on my "collecting tracks" series (which you can see in better detail in last month's posts) so I painted them. I think they look much better now.

exploring wideford hill
A few photographs from a fairly short walk around the top of Wideford Hill. Another place I'd like to return to, but perhaps when it's less wet!

up cuween hill
As far as I'm aware I've never been up Cuween hill before, which seems daft as I've driven past it so many times on my west mainland excursions. These were taken on Monday before the weather turned miserable. Once this dull, rainy spell has passed I'll definitely return, possibly with a sketchbook in hand.

pale horizon
oil monotype on paper

Another classic example of my lack of organisation (see previous post) as I can't remember the size of this piece and it doesn't appear to be written down anywhere! I don't think it was more than 30cm in height though, so quite small.

Finally starting to work my way through photographs and upload them here, such as this monotype I produced at the end of May. There appears to be a few pieces which I've sold this summer and forgotten to document properly, or in some cases document at all! One day I *will* be organised...

a day out
Mum and I made the most of the good weather we had on Monday and headed out to the west mainland for a change of scenery. Who needs to go abroad when you can drive to Birsay!
I still have a pile of photographs of finished pieces I need to wade through and edit. Hopefully I'll get some of them uploaded here in the next couple of weeks.
