shoreline details

I took some extra photographs after I finished documenting the new rugs on the shoreline last week. Wave worn rocks, limpet marks and seapinks always catch my attention.

replenishing the exhibition space

Mum and I had a quick rearrange of the "marking time" exhibition today which we are trying to keep running throughout the summer. Luckily we have both finished new pieces recently which filled in the gaps where things have sold and gone off to new homes.

I have also added my new monotype drawings to my main exhibition wall. It's good to rearrange things every so often to keep the space feeling fresh.

sleepless in hoxa

I often have great difficulty falling asleep which is bad as I naturally need a lot of sleep to function properly. On the upside, it was absolutely beautiful from 3.30 to 4am this morning and I quietly worked on a couple of paintings. If I can't sleep I might as well be productive and appreciate the midsummer light.

waiting...

I really shouldn't be a painter as I severely lack patience. Waiting for oil paint layers to dry drives me nuts!
